The Story Behind Sannawave
Sannawave was born from a simple question: why can we measure our heart rate, our sleep, our steps — but not the quality of our mind? John Nguyen, a Harvard ALI Fellow, set out to answer that question.
Drawing on years of research at the intersection of mindfulness, neuroscience, and AI — and inspired by both Vietnamese meditation traditions and Western clinical science — John developed MBNT: Mindfulness-Based Neuroadaptive Training. Sannawave is the device that brings it to life.
In June 2026, Sannawave demos at the Harvard ALI Symposium. John is planning collaborative research with academic institutions to expand the MBNT research foundation.
